Position Announcement Dean of Business/ Finance The Dean of Business/Finance serves as the chief financial & business officer of the College with responsibility for direction & oversight of financial accounting & reporting, physical plant management, environmental, health & safety mgmt, auxiliary enterprise mgmt, purchasing, grants & contracts & risk mgmt. Reporting directly to the President, the Dean of Business/Finance serves on the President’s Exec. The Dean of Business/ Finance must possess & value high professional ethical standards, accountability & compliance with applicable legal & regulatory requirements & be able to instill these qualities in all employees under his or her direction & control through the development & encouragement of continuing professional education programs related to staff needs. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position will have 5 to 10 yrs exp. in an upper-level mgmt position, preferably in higher education administration, but consideration will be given to applicants demonstrating to the College they have acquired pertinent managerial & leadership exp. in other fields. A master’s of business administration or master’s of accounting degree or a bachelor’s degree in accounting & certification as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Mgt Accountant required.
