Satellite Spotting — Patriots Edition

Yeah, I used to take pleasure in the misfortunes of Boston’s sports teams and their fans.  I guess it is karma payback now.

Cranky, the only satellites I saw today was some of the passes Tom Brady threw to Mr. Moss, Welker, and Stallworth. The Pats kicked ass today. Hope you enjoyed the game! Go Red Sox, Go Patriots!

 I’ll just shut up now.

  1. Cranky, let me first say that I enjoy your site and learn something new upon each visit. I would also like to give you a tiny insight into the psyche of the Boston sports fan. Growing up I witnessed every team I ever loved choke at the worst possible time in every single championship game I ever watched. I watched the Bruins lose countless Stanley cup series. I watched the Red Sox lose 2 World Series 7th games and countless other playoff games. I saw the Patriots lose two Super Bowls. Until 2001, Boston was a city of sports chokers. No matter how good any Boston team was, the fans always knew that in the end we would lose in the most humiliating way possible. It was a given. Up until 2001 I said to myself “All I want as a Boston sports fan is for a team that I love to win the championship just once in my lifetime.”
Please forgive us obnoxious Boston fans. We were tortured for so long. We will have our fleeting period of success and then we will fade back into mediocrity and shut our cake holes.
    Thank you

  2. Stanky, I grew up outside Philadelphia as an Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers fan. Imagine our pain — very similar to Boston’s. Still an Eagles fan. When I fell asleep last night we were down 21 – 7 to the hated Cowboys. I doubt it got better.

At least niether of us are Cubs fans.
