Senator Christopher Dodd, (Democrat – Connecticut) weighs in with what he thinks should be done. Of course, Congress is in recess so that will not matter much.
Wait a minute! Did not Senator Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, receive ‘friends of Angelo’ interest rates?

Dodd also blocked the bill in 2005 / 2006 that would have provided better oversight of Fannie and Freddie Mac.
This bill was co-sponsored by McCain and 2 other Republicans, so there’s the possibility that Dodd was just being partisan as opposed to corrupt when he and the other Dems blocked the bill without a vote.

He was also the single biggest recipient of donations from Fannie Mae. This is like having syphilis lecture you on the evils of STD’s.
